The Peak of the Mountain Lhotse%20Mountain%20Peak
The elevation is so high here it's impossible to breath if you aren't used to it. The chill of the air is enough to make a normal wolf freeze to death. Not much comes up there, only the occasional wolf looking for an answer in the stars. Nothing grows up here, only snow.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

Post by Timber Sun Oct 12, 2014 8:43 pm

Timber stood at the peak, eyes closed as she breathed in. It was hard, but it gave her something to focus on. She couldn't believe she'd trusted them. She shivered, the cold wind getting through her thin coat again. She was alone, and somehow... no longer Timber. It was a name that she used, but no more. It meant nothing to her. All hope had been lost, about the tail-chasing lessons, or playing with her friends. It was her turn to face the harsh reality, so she did. Life had lost it's purpose, without having someone to be there for her. She thought they'd be there... but had never tested it. Now the time had come, and she'd failed. A low eerie howl escaped her jaws, almost like a song. Everyone she'd had a part in the death, or disappearance of... she deserved to be alone too. Some sort of dark thought was taking over her mind, pushing the happiness away. Somewhere in the back of her mind, she hated, but the rest of her mind didn't care. She could live up here, alone, finally escape her job. She'd kept up her job for a year, and it was time to let go of the burden. Finishing the howl, she opened her eyes, and looked down the cliffs edge she was standing on. If things got to be to much, there was always another way to go about it. "Then it would be bye-bye Timber." Her voice cackled, raspy from the low amount of air. With that, she lay down, humming silently to herself, only now the song sounded hollow to her.

The three came to the cave and there the timber was, the white female walked closer, “What are you doing her timber, and what be your purpose to be here.” She says to her stepping forward. The two males take a step back aware of the white female’s temper. Her face was plain showing no signs of anger or any emotion yet it was under the serfis.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

Post by Timber Sun Oct 12, 2014 11:47 pm

Timbers mouth pulled back into a snarl, hearing wolves approach. They said something about this being there home, but she could smell nothing of the sort. It was a mountain, barren and unclaimed. She spun around to face them, a deep scowl on her face. Her tail was held high, as she had not trespassed, and she could understand no emotion. Sure, she felt something, but it was something she'd never felt before. Pure rage, with sadness buried deep inside. Finaly, realizing the wolves would unlikely back down without an answer, she muttered. "Leave me alone, let me die in peace." The second part surprised herself, as she hadn't been planning on that, but why not? It would be easy enough. A few steps backwards and she'd be gone. Something in the back of her head was shouting No! Stupid Timber, bad bad idea!, but she was getting tired of the two voices in her head bickering. A second of the former Timbers expression passed across her face, the one always trying to make peace, but it was useless. She couldn't hold onto it, and it slipped away. She growled in fury, not caring if the other wolves heard, but it was gone. She hated the darkness, and what it was doing, but could find no reason to stop it. She took a rattling breath of the thin air, looking up at the three with an amused expression. What would they think of the crazy wolf?

The two males looked at each other then motion a good bye to there sister and Coal whispers “Bye Angel see you again soon.” Before him and Steel run off. Now alone with the other female the snow shaded mistress circles her like prey. “Why would I do that you have some kind of good within you, let me guess you are in the middle of a war against yourself as we speak, one side says one thing the other says what you know is what you should do.” She says her tail still and fallowing her as she circles the other wolf. Her red eyes locked on the mix furred timber.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

Post by Timber Mon Oct 13, 2014 9:49 am

Timber snarled again, a jagged sound from the lack of good air to breathe. How dare this wolf try to understand her. No one ever would, or could. No one'd failed their jobs, and her job was a healer. No wolf that had come to her had been healed. Simple as that. It would be only fitting if she died, or disappeared, as well. Now there was no one who cared if that happened, so why not? She looked behind her at the edge of the mountain, ignoring the wolf who circled her. The water from the swamp had started to freeze again, but she didn't bother shaking it off. She turned to face the wolf, voice cold and harsh as she spoke. "You don't know me. Leave me alone." The repeated part sounded like a hollow echo. Come, Timber, no one understands, you're no better than a murderess. You deserve to leave. The voice seemed to whisper, and she nodded. That voice was telling the truth. The other voice said nothing, as if even it couldn't argue with that. She scowled, angry that even one of the voices had decided to abandon her. Her eyes gleamed with a mix of angry and smartness. But if you knew where to look, it was also sad. She truly believed she'd been abandoned. She had no friends and was facing death, from realization of all she'd done. Her so-called 'friends' didn't care if she lived or died, or they were probably agreeing with the voice that urged her to leave the world. The bitter truth.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

The mistress walked in front of the timber “Don’t listen to that voice I’ve been that path and it brought me nothing and I can’t just let you die I may be a murderess but your not why should you die Shirley not because of your past, look to the future and you see not you alone but friends to be,” The white coated mistress said in a rime more of a riddle but it was wise and should bring the timber to calm herself. The white wolf slowly put her paw on the timber’s shoulder. “let the good voice speak, listen closely and hear her whispers that hide behind darkness,” She said looking striate into the wolf’s eyes.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

Timbers jaws snapped angrily, hearing the fae try to tell her what to do. She hated it. Obviously she shouldn't listen to the dark voice, but there was no other voice to listen to. She wanted to bite the paw that was on her shoulder, but guessed it wouldn't taste very good. "Leave me alone." She said again, her voice a bit smoother because she was letting the voice speak, and it didn't need air to breathe. She made the rough snarling sound again, glaring up at the white wolf. "Leave me alone. Six wolves dead because of me. Leave me alone." The voice was harsh, but it sounded like pleading. I'm here for you, listen to me and you'll be fine. Or not fine, as you choose. The dark voice promised, sounding more and more defined as it grew stronger. There was no one else to trust, and a loyal wolf needed someone to follow. Her ears flattened back, as she snarled at the white wolf again. She could follow the dark wolf. There was no chance of her betraying herself, so she would be fine. There was no one else to trust, but she would be okay. As soon as the wolf left, she could be okay forever.

“As sure as my name is Angel I guarantee it wasn’t your fault I don’t know you well barley at all but you aren’t a bad wolf your eyes show fear and struggle you are fighting within, and the good is falling because you are listening to the bad the, dark wolf will not help though it may promise the white shall prevail if you begin to realize only the joy of the future can cover the pain of the past, I look in to your eyes and see death but not forced by you. I see a rank most needed that was not successful in its role ,but you tried that is what the voice tries to speak as it fades so does your hope, your joy, and your peace,” The white wolf says in a velvet voice clear and slow, calm, and friendly. ~ The words are wise and true, but to fallow the good is all up to you ~ the white watches the timber as the good starts grow, but it begins to fade once more and the white show no exspreation upon her face only the glimmer of hope in eyes shows its face to the timber.

The Peak of the Mountain Empty Re: The Peak of the Mountain

Post by Timber Mon Oct 13, 2014 3:20 pm

Timbers voice was low and dangerous, practically growling as she said the next words. "I'd rather jump off the cliff. Leave me be." She'd had enough of this wolf trying to understand her. The wolfs expression showed only hope, and hope had let down the fae too many times to ever hope again. She turned around, staring down the cliff, but she wouldn't die in front of the white wolf. As much as she wanted it, she didn't want the image in that wolfs mind forever. So instead, she started down the mountain. After making it about five feet, she paused and looked back, bright green eyes darker, somehow. "Leave me be." She warned the fae one last time, a angry look in her eyes. Then the small fae continued down the mountain, paws hurting with every step. She'd nearly frozen, and was running out of air as well. Good job, Timber. I do believe you made the right choice. The voice said, obviously proud, somehow. She smiled, but it seemed wrong. Weak, forced, and fake. She hated it, so she quickly stopped. "Yes, I do believe so." She said, voice still rough and like gravel. The red-brown wolf made it's way down the mountain, and began to search for somewhere to be alone, and okay.

Alisen slowly climbs toured the mountains point like she did every morning before her brothers woke, or at least she used to. She keeps climbing the wind getting stronger the higher she gets.

Steel sees Alisen and starts to move faster to catch up to her. “Alisen, were the no-no do you think your going.” He yells from about 4 feet away.

Alisen turns to face her brother and smiles “I’m just going back to my old routine I’ll be back soon.” Alisen says and then goes back to climbing.

Timber padded to the top, taking a deep breath of the cold mountain air. She glanced back at Flinch, who was right behind her, trying to do the same. He coughed. She rolled her eyes, glancing at his pitiful stomach. He needed to do something about that. She sat at the very tip and looked down at the world below. She could see the grasslands, and just beyond that, the swamplands. She glanced at Alisen and Steel, seeing Red on her back. She sighed in relief.

Alisen lays Red down carefully and puts a cleaned pelt over him so he won’t be to cold. Alisen then stands beside Timber and grins “This is fun.” Alisen looks down and angles just right and starts howling then leaps to a look ledge and rides it down to another stronger cliff and howls louder and laughs “Fun.” Alisen yells grinning.

Steel looks terrified “Your going to be what kills me Alisen.” He says shaking his head and putting Red on his back before jumping Quickly from ledge to ledge till Alisen can reach to pull him onto the strongest and largest cliff.

Timbers eyes went wide, seeing them jump from ledge to ledge. "I think I'll stay here..." She said nervously, sitting down at the place Red had been before. Were they crazy? She glanced at Flinch.

Flinch chuckled. He managed to jump up to the ledge below them, and let them keep that one to themselves. He coughed, looking down and shying a bit away from the edge of the ledge. He wasn't scared of heights, he just didn't want to fall off. He breathed out, looking at his breath. Exhilarating.

"What the h*ll!" I yowl and grip onto Steel's fur. "I want down!" I yelp and huddle close to his body. What in the world were they try? Were they trying to kill me? Or just to freak me out. Either way I wanted gone and down. "Put me down now!" I screech again and dig my sharp claws into Steel's back.

Flinch laughed, glancing at the completely freaked out timber. "He's alive!" He said in a sarcastic, dramatic voice. He glanced up at the wolf, Red, and rolled his eyes. What was he so afraid of? Alisen was his friend, and Timber wouldn't let him be harmed. It was dumb, really, but he wasn't going to argue with her about it.

Alisen saw what Steel was about to do and growls at him. “Steel, he’s freaked out enough, I’m taking him back to Timber.” Alisen says putting Red on her back and starting to climb back up without difficulty. “Close your eyes bud.” Alisen instructs. She gets back to were Timber is and shakes Red off her back “Ow!” Alisen says shaking her pelt “That sort of hurt.” Alisen says and sits “I thought you were going to the light Redo.” Alisen teases with a grin.

I hiss and back up, baring my fangs. Then I bolt away back to the swamps. I run as fast as I can to get away. Away very far as I could. I look back only to assure I was not being pursued. I pant and increase my speed leaping over small ledges to increase speed.

Timber frowned, walking after Red. "Bud! Are you okay?" She asked worriedly, but also figuring he needed some time to calm down. She sighed. Why did he always try to run from his problems? It was an easy method, but it was really frustrating.

Run gotta run, no gotta run faster! I dig my claws into the dirt and propel my self forward. The end of the mountain was close I reach my forelegs out to the dirt aching to feel the warm dirt under my claws. Yes I had made it. I pant for a second and sit, but then I bolt off again to the swamp.

Flinch glanced up at Alisen, then down again at the confused Timber and terrified Red. What the h*ll was he so scared about? He'd been safe, after all. He shrugged, and looked up again to where they were. "No thanks, there's no room for a Flinch up there." He said, in a cheery tone. It didn't quite fit him, but it made him feel good. He scratched at his flea bite.

Timber was confuzzled. Was Red scared of heights or something? Probably not... she remembered him jumping off cliffs trying to fly. What a strange memory. She flicked her ear. She ran, though, following him into the swamplands. Whatever scared him, she was sure she could help.

Alisen sits at the very tip of the cliff and closes her red eyes, her nose to the sky, she takes a breathe and just stays like that. Her body is not tense at all, she doesn’t shiver nor does she shake. She’s quiet listening to the wind, La Luna’s voice, the voice of a spirit.

Steel Stares at his sister in ah, he had never known her while she was this calm. He always saw her as stiff and tense, built here, now, she is calm, Quiet, collected.
