This thin layer of vegetation may look safe, but if you step on it, careful. One false step and you're done, lost under the water as the roots block your chance of escape. Only the lightest of wolves would stand a chance of walking on it, and there are holes in some places anyways. Mosquitoes buzz in the grass where cotton mouth snakes sleep.
